This Privacy Policy explains how Scope Film Review LLC (“Scope,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services (the “Service”), which connect athletes and their parents with verified college athletes (“Coaches”) for personalized film review. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide and information generated as you use the Service:

  • Account information — name, email address, phone number, password, and (for Coaches) school, sport, position, bio, and profile photo.
  • Booking and session details — the sessions you book or accept, scheduling, meeting links, notes, and status.
  • Uploaded materials — game film, links, and any context you submit for review.
  • Payment information — processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; we receive limited details such as payment status and the last digits.
  • Communications — messages, support requests, and emails you send us.
  • Usage and device data — pages viewed, actions taken, IP address, browser type, and similar analytics collected via cookies and tools like Google Analytics.

How we use information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service and match athletes with Coaches.
  • Process bookings, payments, and Coach payouts.
  • Send transactional emails (confirmations, reschedules, reminders, receipts) and important account notices.
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • Monitor, secure, and prevent fraud or abuse of the Service.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

How we share information

  • With Coaches and athletes — to facilitate a booked session, the relevant parties see the information needed to connect (e.g., name, contact details, and session info).
  • With service providers — including Stripe (payments and payouts), email delivery, hosting, and analytics providers, who process data on our behalf.
  • For legal reasons — to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, and property of Scope, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

Payments

Payments and Coach payouts are handled by Stripe, including Stripe Connect for paying Coaches. Your use of payment features is also subject to Stripe’s terms and privacy policy. We retain transaction metadata (amounts, status, identifiers) but not full card details.

Children’s privacy (COPPA)

Scope is intended for athletes aged 13 and older, who may register and use the Service. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create their own accounts. A parent or legal guardian may use the Service on behalf of an athlete under 13, and by doing so provides verifiable consent to our collection and use of that athlete’s information as described here.

For any user under 18, a parent or guardian is responsible for supervising use, payments, and bookings. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13 without appropriate parental consent, contact us at scopefilmreview@gmail.com and we will review, and delete the information where required.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand usage. We use Google Analytics to measure traffic and improve the Service. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect functionality.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion as described below.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You may access or update your account information from your dashboard, or contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information. Depending on your location (for example, California residents under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights regarding your personal information; we honor applicable requests. You can also unsubscribe from non-essential emails.

Third-party links

The Service may link to third-party sites or services we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to review their policies.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-product notice.
